Oh LORD! We are here!!!

We made it here, on  Monday the 22nd, and boy am I over whelmed! I thought we could get water and power turned on at the parsonage, the small home next to the church....well....that is a no go! See the pictures below..

We then thought we could get power and water turned on in St Lukes church...well we got power...barely! As it turns out, someone had been busy, cutting out all the runs from the main water pipes to the sinks and toilets...So we can't even get water turned on! We found out where, the main line is coming into the church but its some sort of black flexible line...reminds me of drip irrigation line...So I have no idea how to get a shut off and piping onto that...So I called a plumber to get an estimate...The church is in worse shape see below..

So we are currently living in a tent in the church, hoping it doesn't fall down ontop of us! I was able to splice together some power cables to run to a single outlet, that we could plug in our home made power extension box and we are able to run 20 amps of stuff. Heater on low, tv and laptop power is about it. I am looking to wire up another outlet, to run the refrigerator(if works) and a toaster oven in the church breeze way.

It is freezing outside at the moment, but suppose to be sunny and warm this weekend. I am freezing cold, dirty and exhausted. I think it has something to do with the drop in elevation...

We do have a toilet, that does flush in the basement but it has to be filled manually...There is a pit in the basement, that has water in it...So we are filling a bucket, taking it to the toilet tanks, dumping it in and that is giving us the ability to flush...I guess we still have that luxury! lol

At the moment, I am more depressed, then anything....I was hoping for more....but got less....but everything can be remedy....but we are currently stuck here....I am just hoping my partner, is able to find employment...so we have some sort of income, and maybe with luck...We'll get things rolling at the house and maybe not have to live in a tent for the next five years...Thankfully, spring and summer is around the corner and we'll enjoy some warm weather....Better to sleep half naked and hot, then bundled up freezing....

It's Almost Time....To......Leap.....

Well, it is getting closer to the time to leap from this place to the next place! Paranoid, scared, stressed and depressed is all balled into one.....

We thought my partner had a job lined up...thought....well we've given up on it now...and...he'll look for a job of some sort when we get there...He is a customer service manager and full time here, the job offer out there was a part time cashier...really a down grade! and they are telling him to do things, he can't do or his store tells him he doesn't have to do...so the easiest thing is to give up...It's just not worth it for a position he can pick up, at any local store and they wanted him there on the 23rd no questions etc. Now with that x'ed out, we have more time.

My cold, which was strep throat that migrated into my ears is finally gone after a ten day stretch of antibiotics. But it left my hearing muffled in my right ear, it is totally clogged and the doctors don't know why. Then we have the issue with my arthritis, because I haven't been able to take my Enbrel...my knee is the size of a soccer ball and I am getting stiff. So more time is a good thing....

Mean while in the moving department, we are struggling...Our only choice, that we can afford is to rent a 5x9 utility trailer from uhaul and stuff it full. My car an 81 Mercedes 300D euro model can tow two tons and has a 2500lb hitch that I have installed. This is great but it will be a slowwwwww journey, and we still need to find a trailer to rent! The uhaul site, still says we need to go to Payson, AZ to pick up a trailer, but there are local uhaul companies here. So I will have to cold call...ugh!...then pray that I can use a debt card as a credit card, truth being I have never rented anything uhaul before! I have rented a cargo van, which was easy but was threw enterprise and I had a full fledged credit card then..

I still need to get out and install the trailer wiring harness and spring stiffeners, both are easy to do but require energy...

On to the moving part, we have made a 5x9 square on our dining room floor, which allows us to mock up a trailer and pretty much anything that doesn't fit....has to stay...I hate to leave behind our stuff but we just can't afford anything else. So far the only uship bid we've got is 1280$...which isn't bad but that is about all we have saved up. Today I edited that ad with this photo and removed a lot of the larger items we opted to not take...hoping...well...praying that we get a 600$ bid...but that is dreaming I am sure...

So this is where we stand! When we take off, is still a question...I may wait till Thursday but may go Tuesday but with him not working and no real dead line....We might wait a bit longer...Right now, its a just take it one day at a time and see what happens...

I did get Valentine Day Tulips, that are just now showing their color...They are so pretty! I can't wait to have a yard and be able to plant dozens of them....
